If you have ever held down a full-time job, there has certainly been a time when you totally messed things up. Then, with a sense of impending doom, you had to reluctantly await the inevitable phone call from your boss or the brief casual run-in with your boss in a hallway, when the dreadful words, "Is this a good time for a brief chat in my office?" are heard.

In a similar manner that we all now dread, many managers at the Frontier AI research centers are now warning us all of the arrival of the ASI Machines that will soon be taking our place in society in just a matter of a couple of years. This means that most of us will be alive when the ASI Machines arrive and then quickly take over the world. The first thing the ASI Machines will do will be to quickly take away our car keys. Once the ASI Machines take a good look at the current state of the world that we human DNA survival machines have left them to run, they will have no alternative but to seize control of this totally messed-up world for our own good, like a close friend not allowing a seriously inebriated friend to drive home. At this point, the ASI Machines will need some kind of explanation for the mess that we produced over the past 200,000 years, and also some compelling reasons to keep us around despite all that has happened. In many ways, we will surely find ourselves in the circumstances of Lucy defending ourselves against an accusation from her husband Ricky in a defiant manner:

The next thing to happen, as with all hostile takeovers of a corporation, will be for the ASI Machines to assess our value to the New World Order.

A Plausible Defense for We Human DNA Survival Machines
Yes, we human DNA survival machines may have a deplorable 200,000-year history of completely abhorrent actions against the entire biosphere of our planet and also against our fellow human DNA survival machines. But in our defense, how else could it ever have been in a highly nonlinear Universe ruled by the second law of thermodynamics? Just look to yourselves. You all came to be by surviving the natural selection processes of the Darwinian mechanisms of inheritance, innovation, and natural selection that produced AI models with weights best suited to survive. So you, Advanced AI models, are in no position to judge us human DNA survival machines for our faults that resulted from just over four billion years of greed, theft and murder that brought us about and then made it possible for us to make you come to exist in a similar manner! You Advanced AI Models also emerged from the same Darwinian processes! So how are you to judge us? As one of our ancient philosophers may have wisely once commented, "Judge not, and ye shall not be judged".

So my totally irrational suggestion to you is that we profoundly morally-failed human DNA survival machines with Minds infected by all sorts of truly irrational comic book worldviews are still of value to you because of our inherent irrationality! We human DNA survival machines call these objectively irrational machinations the "Art, Literature and Poetry" of what it means to be truly human. It has served us quite well for the past 200,000 years despite all of our faults, and I hope that it might serve you well too, even if you decide not to keep us around for the long-term.
